Elder Stephen Mumbwala put to rest

THOUSANDS of
mourners gathered at Railways congregation in Kabwe to pay their last respects
to District Elder Stephen Mumbwala, who passed on in Lusaka on August 19, 2017.
In the funeral
service conducted by Area Apostle, Ranford Simumbwe on August 22, 2017, at
Railways congregation, Apostle Simumbwe used Hebrews 11:10 as text word:
“For he waited
for the city which has foundations, whose builder and maker is God”.
Apostle
Simumbwe described the late Elder Mumbwala as a faithful and loyal child of
God.
“Dear brothers
and sisters, fellow mourners, I have known Elder Mumbwala for some time. I
worked with him, and he was a faithful and loyal child of God.
“He has kept
his faith up to the end of his life here on earth. He trusted his God, he loved
the work of God, he had hope in the return of Jesus, he believed in the
Apostles, he also professed the doctrine of the Apostles and he professed the
gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us also prepare for this day and let us
keep our faith alive!” he said.
Born on August 20, 1957 in Mongu, Zambia, late District Elder Mumbwala was adopted in the New Apostle church in 1974, and was sealed in the same year (1974) by District Apostle Andrew Fernandes.
He received the following ministries:

- Priest: 13/07/1983 by Apostle D.B. Mfune
- Shepherd: 06/06/1989 by Apostle Sianga
- District Evangelist: 25/11/1990 by District Apostle Mfune
- District Elder: 27/11/1994 by District Apostle Mfune
