A New church Building in Mazabuka
District Apostle Charles Ndandula dedicated a new church for Kaonga Congregation in Mazabuka on Sunday, January 17, 2016 to the joy of the members.
2 Chronicles 29:5 was read as the dedication text:
“And said to them:” Hear me, Levites! Now sanctify yourselves, sanctify the house of the Lord, God of your fathers, and carry out the rubbish from the holy place.”
In reference to the above text, District Apostle Ndandula told the members to sanctify themselves and be involved in the activities that bring glory to the Lord and build the work of God.
“Dear brothers and sisters, this new church is a holy place where the Lord propagates Himself; this is the place where the Lord reveals Himself in His word and Sacraments - let us, therefore, sanctify our thoughts and deeds, as we want to see our God in His word and Sacraments,” he said.
The District Apostle thanked the civic authority for the land where Kaonga church stands. He further thanked brothers and sisters in Zambia, Malawi and Zimbabwe for their offering and sacrifices towards the construction of Kaonga church.
John 6:53-54 was used as
main text word for the
Then Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink His blood, you have no life in you. Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.”
District Apostle Ndandula told the members that the partaking of Holy Communion was an important aspect in the life of a Christian.
“Partaking of Holy Communion is an important component in our life - we do not only believe in Him (Jesus Christ), but also partake of His body and blood, otherwise, we will have no life in us, as recorded in our text,” he said.
The District Apostle urged the members to partake Holy Communion worthily.
“Before partaking of the Holy Communion, there must be repentance - we must confess our transgressions to the Lord and repent. There must be forgiveness - and this must be done by those commissioned to forgive our sins,” he said.
District Apostle Ndandula also advised the members to declare their faith in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, in line with the 2016 motto “Victory with Christ!”
“We want to emulate the nature and character of Jesus Christ because He lives in us.
“Let us also declare our faith in the Apostles of Jesus Christ as they were sent to prepare souls for the return of Christ,” he said.
Located in the Central Business District (CDB) of Mazabuka town, the church for Kaonga Congregation, with a membership of 458, was constructed at an estimated cost of K820, 000.
