Third International Apostles’ Meeting – Harare, Zimbabwe

District Apostle at the altar in Harare25 Apostles gathered at Cresta Lodge in Harare, Zimbabwe on November 28, 2015 for the 3rd International Apostles’ Meeting (IAM) for District Apostle Area (DAA) 28, chaired by District Apostle (DA) Charles Ndandula.

District Apostle Ndandula opened the meeting with a prayer and read from Isaiah 41: 8, 10; this text word was also used by Chief Apostle Jean – Schneider in the recent District Apostles’ Meeting (DAM) in Johannesburg – South Africa.

“But you Israel are My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, the descendants of Abraham My friend. You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, and called from its farthest regions, and said to you, ‘You are My servant, I have chosen you and have not cast you away.”

The meeting, which started at 09:00hrs, observed a minute of silence in remembrance of late Apostle Aaron Sitali Katungu who was called home on September 6, 2015. Late Apostle Katungu served in Ndola – Mufulira Apostle Area.

During the meeting, the DA said Apostles were true servants of God who must preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.

“Concerning divine election, we read as follows in our Catechism (CNAC 4.5) 'Election is rooted in God’s will to call forth individual human beings or group for the purpose determined by Him, thereby making them accountable to Him,' he said.

The congregation during the service in HarareThe DA said God is faithful and He will complete the good work He begun (cf. Philippians 1:6).

“He will see to it that every human being is given the chance to be saved, at the end of the kingdom of peace, all human beings will know Jesus Christ,” he said.

The DA further said the Lord will support the Apostles whom He has chosen for Himself until their mission is concluded.

The IAM is a forum at which Apostles in DAA 28 are formally informed about developmental matters in the New Apostolic Church locally and globally. Among others, the DA informed the meeting of the scheduled official opening of the New Apostolic Church clinic in Mkushi.

The peak of the gathering was a divine service conducted by the DA at Highfield Congregation in Harare.

Acts 4:31 was used as text word.

"And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.”

District Apostle Ndandula encouraged the members to believe in the power of prayer, as evident from the text word.

The District Apostle further urged the members to be inspired to do the will of God. He encouraged them to speak the word of God with boldness and reject anything that contradicts the gospel of Jesus Christ.

District Apostle Ndandula told the members to lead a Christ-like life – in reference to 2 Corinthians 3:2 -3.

Apostle Elvis Mubita Liywalii (2nd from right) celebrated his birthday“You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men, clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.”

The District Apostle told the members that they were a living letter of their faith and that must be portrayed in all situations of life.

On this day, Apostle Elvis Mubita Liywalii (2nd from right) turned 53 years old and the congregation sang a happy birthday song and presented a banquet of flowers.

669 members including all Active Apostles in DAA 28 attended this service.
