Thousands attend Chief Apostle Schneider’s services in Zambezi and Mansa


Children’s choir and orchestra performing during the concert with Chief Apostle Schneider at NIPA on June 24, 2017The World President of the New Apostolic Church, Chief Apostle Jean-Luc Schneider visited District Apostle Area 28 (DAA 28) comprising Zambia, Malawi and Zimbabwe from June 22 – 28, 2017. The Chief Apostle who arrived at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Lusaka at 15:15hrs with flight SA 64 from Johannesburg, was welcomed by host District Apostle Charles Ndandula, District Apostle Helper Robert Nsamba, Lusaka based Apostles and selected members.

 

A children’s choir was arranged to welcome the Chief Apostle at Lusaka’s Intercontinental Hotel, to the delight of the Chief Apostle.

 

On Friday, the Chief Apostle had a meeting for all active Apostles and Bishops of Zambia, Malawi and Zimbabwe.

 

Part of the members at attended the divine service at Zambezi Central ChurchOn Saturday, the Chief Apostle graced a musical choral concert with orchestra at National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA) conference hall in Lusaka.

 

Sunday, June 25, 2017 was the climax of the Chief Apostle’s visit when he conducted a festive preparatory divine service for the upcoming departed service in Zambezi Central Church in Zambezi. The Service was transmitted live on ZNBC TV1 and radio 2. Close to 9000 congregations in Zambia, Malawi and Zimbabwe followed this service on radio and television.

 

10,344 members were counted at Zambezi Central congregation.

In reference to the text word, the Chief Apostle told the members that God will never forget them.

 

“This story teaches us that God never forgets the poor. Naomi was poor and had no money. She was widowed with no chance of having another child. She had nothing. She remained faithful and accepted God's will.  She was not angry with God. Ruth became married and become a mother, after she followed Naomi to Bethlehem. “Brothers and sisters some of us are in distress situations. We feel as though God doesn't love us!  Let us remain faithful.  Let us stay in his land. Let us stay with God in his land and law. The day will come when He will show you He doesn't forget you. He will give you help in a better manner. He never forgets the poor”, he said.

 

Part of the congregation at Zambezi Central church during a divine service conducted by Chief Apostle Schneider on June 25, 2017On Tuesday, June 27, 2017, Chief Apostle Schneider conducted a divine service at Mansa Central Church in Mansa. Acts 4:13 was used as text word:

 

“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marvelled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.”

 

5, 173 members attended this divine service. The service was also transmitted live on a provincial radio station, radio Yangeni.

 

For these two services, the Chief Apostle was accompanied by host District Apostle Charles Ndandula, visiting District Apostle Helper Patrick Mkhwanazi from Johannesburg and host District Apostle Helpers Robert Nsamba from Zambia, Arnold Mhango from Malawi, Apostles and Bishops serving in Zambia, Malawi and Zimbabwe.
