Children’s service in Livingstone

District Apostle Helper Robert Nsamba during a children’s service at Maramba congregation in Livingstone on 15 July 2017District Apostle Helper Robert Nsamba conducted two divine services in Livingstone at Maramba Main congregation on 15 and 16 July, 2017.

 

On Saturday 15 July, 2017, the District Apostle Helper conducted a children’s service at Maramba Main congregation where he used the text word from Revelation 21:5:

“Then He who sat on the throne said, ‘Behold, I make all things new.’ And He said to me, ‘Write, for these words are true and faithful.’”

 

In reference to the text word, the District Apostle Helper told the children to be obedient to God and their Parents.

 

“Dear children, dear brothers and sisters, from our text word, we learn that God is the creator; Jesus Christ is the author of our salvation; the Holy Spirit is creating in us a new creature. Therefore, as young people, let us profess our faith by being obedient to God and obeying our parents,” he said. 

 

The District Apostle Helper further told the children that God is making a new creature in them so that the church of Christ can continue to grow; and that God can also use them for this purpose.

 

The service was attended by 2,223 children.

 

A children’s choir sung during the children’s service at Maramba congregation in Livingstone on 15 July 2017On Sunday 16 July 2017, the District Apostle Helper conducted another divine service in the same congregation where he used the text word from Mark 3: 14:

“He appointed twelve that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach.”

 

In this divine service He emphasized on the ministry of Apostle. He said the Apostles are not sent to rule over man but they are servants of Christ; that through the power of the Holy Spirit, they must serve the congregations and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.

 

“Dear brothers, dear sisters, the Apostle ministry is active in our time; let us draw much blessing from the powers and the gifts in this ministry. The Apostle ministry is the ministry of reconciliation.

 

“Through the forgiveness of sins and the partaking of the body and blood of Jesus, we are reconciled with God and with one another,” he said.

 

Bishop Shem Samalela during a children’s service at Chingola Central Church in Chingola on 16 July 2017District Apostle Helper Nsamba also said Apostles have the authority to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, as commissioned by Jesus Christ.

 

The service was attended by 1,621 members including 6 visitors.   

 

Meanwhile, three hundred and ninety two children (392) from six (6) elder districts in Chingola formed part of the congregation which celebrated the service for the children held at Chingola Central congregation on 16 July 2017.

 

Bishop Shem Samalela of Kitwe-Chingola Apostle Area conducted the service and read a text word from Luke 2:49:

“And He said to them, ‘Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father's business?’"

 

The service was attended by a total of 777 members. The bishop was accompanied by all district leaders in Chingola.
