Four (4) churches dedicated in Choma–Kalomo Apostle Area

Sichinde church was dedicated on 14 June 2017New Apostolic Church members in Siamambo Elder district of Choma–Kalomo Apostle Area celebrated a divine service with dedication with Area Apostle, Baker Chakwana on 14 June 2017 and witnessed the dedication of a church for Sichinde congregation.

 

For this Dedication service Apostle Chakwana read 1 Chronicles 28:10 as the text word:

“Take heed now, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary, be strong and do it”.

 

During the service, Apostle Chakwana urged the members to be occupied with the work of God and do His will.

 

“My dear brothers and sisters, just as David said to his son that the Lord had chosen him (Solomon) to build a sanctuary for the Lord, we too have been called upon to do the work of God. As we celebrate this dedication, let us also bear in mind that our hearts are temples of God, just like we worked hard to complete this temple, may we also ensure that we are complete for the return of Christ,” he said.

 

Located about 23 kilometres east of Choma, the congregation was established in 1982.

 

The new church building has a seating capacity of 150 people and was built at a cost of K52, 000 under self-help.

 

628 members participated in this service, with 50 guests, among them, Chief Singani.

 

Nalubwe Church was dedicated on 17 June 2017On June 17, 2017, Apostle Chakwana dedicated Nalubwe congregation in Chikanta District, about 123km east of Choma.

 

1 Chronicles 29:16 was used as the text word:

“O Lord our God, all this abundance that we prepared to build You a house for Your holy name is from Your hand, and is all Your own”.

 

In his sermon Apostle Chakwana thanked the members for their sacrifice towards the work of God.

 

“Dear festive congregation, today we are witnessing the dedication of this beautiful church; which is as a result of your good works of faith; when you build for the Lord, and with the Lord, you are not building in vain, and for this, the Lord with bless you,” he said.

 

438 members participated in this service, with 12 guests.

 

Janda church was dedicated on 5 July 20175 July 2017 was another joyful day for members of Janda congregation in Dundumwenze district when Apostle Chakwana dedicated a 130 seating capacity church constructed under self-help at a cost of K45, 000.00.

 

Psalms 127:1 was used as test the word:

 “Unless the Lord builds the house, they labour in vain who build it”.

The service was attended by 520 members.

 

On 8 July 2017 Apostle Chakwana dedicated the fourth church – for Siapubwe Congregation in Masuku District. The church is a 230 seater, built at a cost of K71, 000.00.

 

Established in 1987, Masuku is located 70km east of Choma.

 

Siapubwe Church was dedicated on 8 July 2017Meanwhile, Apostle Jacob Mwansa of Ndola-Mufulira Apostle Area conducted a Dedication Service for Miputu Church which is located in the remote area of Luanshya, about 26km, west of Luanshya town.

 

In a service that was held on 9 July 2017, Apostle Mwansa used Mathew 5:39-41:

“But I tell you not to resist an evil person. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also. If anyone wants to sue you and take away your tunic, let him have your cloak also. And whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two”.

 

The Church building whose construction started in 2013 was built by the local members through self-help. The church has a sitting Capacity of 100 while the current membership is 23.

 

During the service, the Apostle sealed 103 souls.

 

Miputu church was dedicated on 9 July 2017Deacon Joseph Mako was retired after serving for 17 years as Deacon, while X- Ray Hachingelu was ordained Community Evangelist, Likezo Muyunda and Watson Kayuma were ordained Priests and Slick Nkunta was ordained Deacon.

 

This was the first dedication, retirement and ordination service conducted by Apostle Mwansa since his ordination in November 2016.

 

At the end of the Service the Congregation joined in wishing the Apostle a Happy Birthday. (Born on 6th July 1957) The Apostle congratulated the members for constructing their beautiful Church.

 

The service was attended by 498 souls including 105 guests.

 

Later in the Afternoon, the Apostle conducted another Service at Mikomfwa East Congregation, also in Luanshya. He was accompanied by Bishop O Mwiya, District Elder Mwape, host District Elder Mwiya and District Evangelist B Lubasi.

 

In this service, Community Evangelist Josper Nyambe and Priest George Kalobwe were placed into retirement after serving for 25 years and 22 years respectively while 6 (six) Community Evangelists, 9 (nine) Priests and 5 (five) Deacons were ordained.

 

District Evangelist Kalimukwa Lisulo Liomba and his wife Ruth Samazuka Liomba received a Ruby Wedding anniversary blessing.

 

The service was attended by 681 souls including 15 visitors.
