District Apostle visits Kabompo
District Apostle Charles Ndandula visited Zambezi-Kabompo
Apostle Area from 8th to 10th June, 2018.
Kabombo is a town in North-Western Zambia located on
the banks Kabompo River and has fishing and honey production as the main
economic activities. The town has a population of over 88, 900 people.
The District Apostle, during his visit, conducted
two divine services in Mumbeji and Kabompo Central churches respectively.
During the service at Mumbeji church, the District
Apostle read from Matthew 13:24-26 as the text word: ”Jesus then told them this story, ‘The kingdom of heaven is like what
happened when a farmer scattered good seed in a field, but while everyone was
sleeping, an enemy came and scattered weed seeds in the field and then left.
When the plants came up and began to ripen, the farmer’s servants could see the
weeds.’”
During this divine service, 5 (five) District
Evangelists were placed into retirement, after which 5 (five) District Elders
and 11 (eleven) District Evangelists were ordained.
This service was attended by 2,202 members.
The District Apostle then proceeded for Kabompo and
on Sunday 10th June 2018, held another divine service at Kabompo
Central Church.
During the service he read from 1 Corinthians 13:13
as the text word: “And
now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is
love.”
During the service, the District Apostle retired
District Elder Geoffrey Kapalu, ordained 4 District Elders and 5 District
Evangelists.
This service was attended by 3,149 members.
The District Apostle, during his visit to Zambezi-Kabompo
Apostle area, was accompanied by region District Apostle Helper Kububa Soko, Apostles
Remmy Muyenga of Livingstone, Aggrey Singanda of Kaoma-Lukulu, Stephen Lindunda
of Kitwe-Chingola, Patrick Poho of Solwezi-Mufumbwe and area Apostle Richard
Kasoma of Zambezi-Kabompo.
