The first leg of his visit to North-Western province was in Chavuma which is some 1,227 kilometres from Lusaka. The District Apostle arrived in the evening of April 15, 2016 and donated an assortment of gifts to the aged members.
On Saturday, 16th April, 2016, the District Apostle conducted a divine service at Chavuma Boarding Secondary School attended by 3,349 members and 39 guests. He read 1 John 4:1-4 as text word.
“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this know the spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God. And every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and now already in the world. You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.’’
The District Apostle’s next appointment was Zambezi Central congregation on Sunday, 17th April, 2016, where he conducted a divine service attended by 8,320 members and 63 guests. Acts 4:31 served as text word for the divine service.
“And when they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.”
The last divine service District Apostle Ndandula held was a dedication service of Kabompo Central Church on Tuesday 19th April, 2016 in Kabompo. He used Matthew 22:11-12 as text word.
“But when the King came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment. So he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment? And he was speechless.”
The District Apostle told the members that, only Christ can identify the one without the right wedding garment.
“Sacraments alone are not enough, we also need the following garments in order for us to attain eternal fellowship with Christ. We need the garments of the word of God, grace, forgiveness, reconciliation, love for God and our neighbor,” District Apostle Ndandula said.
A total of 2,686 members and 76 guests attended the service.
Psalms 26:8 was read for dedication of the newly completed church built at a total cost of K603,000.
“LORD, I have loved the habitation of Your house, and the place where Your glory dwells.”
KABOMPO CENTRAL CONGREGATION
Kabompo Central congregation started as a branch of the Kabompo Main congregation around 1985 as a result of the need to carter for the school going brothers and sisters who were learning at Kabompo Secondary School with only 56 members under the leadership of District Elder Daniel Lumayi. The school Head Teacher then was Shepherd Lot Ng’andu.
Following the transfer out of the Head Teacher, the congregants started experiencing difficulties in using the classroom for Wednesday and Sunday services and this prompted members to buy land from Kabompo District Council.
In 2015, the District Apostle conducted a service in the same congregation. This prompted the local leadership to request for support from church head office in form of roofing materials which made the finishing of the super structure easier.
To appreciate the efforts of the church members, the District Apostle decided to include Kabompo Central Church on his 2016 programme for dedication. The local congregants spent K383, 000 in form of material and labour whilst the support from the office of the District Apostle is valued at approximately K220, 000 in form of labour and material giving a total of K603, 000
The District Apostle thanked the District Council for the land where Kabompo Central Church is built. He further, thanked all brothers and sisters for their offering and selfless sacrifices towards the construction of Kabompo Central Church.
