On Good Friday, the District Apostle, accompanied by Apostles Willie Sweta of Kitwe, Stanley Munsaka of Lusaka Central, Michael Milupi of Lusaka East, Akombaetwa Samalama of Lusaka West and Aaron Katungu of Ndola travelled to Chingola and conducted a festive divine service. The text word was taken from Luke 23:42: “Then he said to Jesus, ‘Lord, remember me when you come into your kingdom.’ Jesus said to him, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.’” About 2,192 members attended the service in which 3 District Evangelists were retired, and these were Mwansa Mulenga, Frank Mooto N’gumbi and Benson Kasaji, while District Evangelist Jonathan Chiyezhi was ordained into the District Elder ministry, Shepherds Clement Simbondo, Edward Funga and Stanley Chinda Chulu were ordained into the District Evangelist ministry. Ordained into the Shepherd ministry were Priests Mafwo Seulu and Dick Masela. It was also a “Good Friday” for 200 young members who were confirmed by the District Apostle. The congregation members were with much joy after the fellowship with them. The District Apostle and his entourage drove back to Kitwe and on Saturday held an Adhoc Committee meeting for the preparation of the Chief Apostle’s visit to Kitwe on 30 October, 2010. On Easter Sunday the District Apostle conducted another festive service in Kitwe Central Church and read a text word from Romans 6:4: “Therefore we were buried with Him, through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” 250 young members were also confirmed in this service, bringing much joy among the members of the Copperbelt Province.
