Capacity building workshop for ministers in Mumbwa
During the weekend of 19 – 20 March 2011, 143 ministers gathered in Mumbwa for a capacity building workshop which was organized by the area Apostle Donald Kalyangu and facilitated by Church Administration Office and District Elder Malinda Malinda. The workshop commenced on Saturday, 19 March 2011 and continued on Sunday after the service. Apostle Kalyangu, who was in attendance, urged ministers to appreciate the workshop and utililise the knowledge gained to make them better ministers and be a joy to the congregations. The workshops for ministers, whose aim is to improve the quality of delivery of sermons and to enhance the spiritual activities of the congregations, were introduced by District Apostle Charles Ndandula in March, 2010. The workshops so far have taken place in Mongu, Livingstone and Choma. On Sunday, 20 March 2011, Apostle Kalyangu conducted a sealing service in which 51 members were sealed in Mumbwa Main church. For the sealing service, the Apostle used the text word from Luke 8: 16: “No one, when he has lit a lamp, covers it with a vessel or puts it under a bed.” The service was attended by 1,493 members.
