During the evening fellowship in Serenje

The members of Serenje and Mkushi had joyful moments during the weekend of 5 – 6 March, 2011 when District Apostle Charles Ndandula travelled to the two areas which are located in the northern part of Zambia. He was accompanied by Apostles Willie Sweta of Kitwe, Aubrey Mwanza of Kasama and Remmy Muyenga of Livingstone.

He arrived in Serenje in the afternoon of Friday, 4 March 2011. The area Apostle, Ranford Simumbwe, district ministers and youth choir were there to welcome the District Apostle and his entourage. It was a relief and joy for the members who had been waiting anxiously when the District Apostle and his entourage arrived. He last visited the two areas six years ago.

On Friday evening, there was a choral presentation by the youth choir in Serenje Main church which was attended by over 600 members.

The divine service was held on Saturday morning, 5 March 2011 and the text word was read from Jeremiah 39: 18:

“Your life shall be as a prize to you, because you have put your trust in me, says the Lord.”

The service was attended by 1,589 members of whom 8 were guests.

Later in the day after the service in Serenje, the District Apostle and his entourage travelled to Mkushi where he held the service for the departed on Sunday, 6 March 2011 at Mkushi Secondary School hall.

The service for departed is held thrice in a year in the New Apostolic Church calendar. The other two services are held in July and November.

The text word was from Ephesians 2: 13:

“But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

1,862 brothers and sisters attended the service including 24 guests. After the service District Apostle visited the construction site for Mkushi Central church building. He encouraged the members to continue with the projects and thanked them for their efforts so far in constructing building which had collapsed in 2010.
