On August 15, 2009, the New Apostolic Church donated clothing and foodstuffs to an Orphanage in Lusaka.

The District Apostle Charles Ndandula presented the donation of 110 jerseys, 50 napkins, 25 rompers, 123 tins of baby milk formula, 36 containers of baby powder and 36 bottles of Vaseline to the orphanage Board chairperson, Mr. Alfred Shawa.

The “House of Moses” Orphanage, caring mostly for abandoned babies from the age of 1 - 18 months, has been in existence since 1979, in Chelstone area.

The District Apostle said the church was committed to donating essential items to the orphanage whenever possible.

And Mr. Shawa said they were touched and humbled by the donation as the orphanage largely depended on donations from well –wishers.

After the donation, the District Apostle and his entourage were taken on a conducted tour of the orphanage.
