2 Churches dedicated in the month of May

In the Month of May 2009, District Apostle Charles Ndandula dedicated 2 church buildings in Kabwe and Kitwe, respectively.

On Saturday, 9 May, 2009, the District Apostle, accompanied by four apostles, namely District Apostle Helper Robert Nsamba, Apostles Remmy Muyenga, Kennedy Muchimba and the area Apostle, Ranford Simumbwe travelled to Kabwe, the provincial capital of Central Province.

In the afternoon of the same day, the District Apostle and his entourage attended a children’s concert where the children performed a number of songs and poems.

In the evening, a “dedication dinner” was organized where a video presentation on the developmental works in the Apostle area was shown.

On Sunday, 10 May 2009, the District Apostle conducted a service in which he dedicated Kabwe Railways church.

A text word was read from Colossians 3:16:

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.

During the service, the District Apostle bestowed engagement blessings to Brother Humphrey Mwape and Sister Ruth Mwanza.

The service was attended by 2,109 of whom 4 were visitors.

A week after the dedication of Railways church in Kabwe, the District Apostle travelled to Kitwe, on the Copperbelt, to dedicate yet another church.

Arriving on Friday, 15 May, 2008, the District Apostle, accompanied by Apostle Terry Nyambe and area Apostle Willie Sweta, was welcomed by the children’s choir as well as the youth choir.

The next morning, the entourage visited two church buildings under construction in Chamboli and Kamfinsa residential areas.

In the afternoon, the District Apostle launched the first Ad-hoc meeting for the preparations of the Chief Apostle’s visit to Kitwe in October, 2010 at Kitwe Central church.

The climax of the visit was on Sunday when Mindolo 1 church was dedicated.

In the service, attended by 1,888 members of whom 45 were visitors, a text word was read from Proverbs 24: 3-4:

“By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.”

He was also accompanied by the Apostles and Bishops from the Copperbelt Province, namely Apostles David Seulu and Aaron S. Katungu, as well as Bishops Shadreck Mumba of Chingola, Steve Lindunda of Kitwe and Shem Samalela of Solwezi.

During the service, three ministers were ordained: District Evangelist Justine Mwape Chubili was ordained into the District Elder Ministry; Shepherd Mike Mwanaute received the District Evangelist ministry and Community Evangelist Godfrey Mutondo received the Shepherd ministry, all for Ndola-Mufulira area, under Apostle Aaron Katungu. Thereafter, two couples, District Elder Steven Muzipo and his wife Cecilia and District Elder Kelvin Mate and his wife Brenda, received Silver marriage anniversary blessings.

After service, many members had a chance to chat with the District Apostle during a fellowship lunch held at Mindolo Ecumenical Foundation. Immediately after lunch, the District Apostle and entourage left for Lusaka leaving many souls rejoicing.
