SEALING SERVICE FOR THE DEAF

Apostle S. Munsaka conducting the divine service and Shepherd Mulonda interpreting

Apostle Stanley Munsaka of Lusaka Central district conducted a service, the first  of its kind in Lusaka, when he sealed 15 souls with the Holy Spirit. Among the souls sealed were 5 with profound hearing impairment (deaf). This took place at Kaunda Square Congregation on 8th November 2009.

A textword was taken from Revelation 12:4-5:

“And the dragon stood before a woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her child as soon as it was born. She bore a male child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her child was caught up to God and His throne.”

The sermon was interpreted into sign language by sister Maggie Mulope and brother Chiseu Nyambe who was also sealed during the same service.

Prior to the divine service efforts were made by leaders of Munali Congregation to testify to the deaf students of Munali Secondary school. The New Apostolic Church members in Munali area congregate within the premises of Munali Secondary school.

A fellowship gathering was arranged after the service, where willing deaf students were testified to as the ministers provided necessary doctrinal material to help the guests understand the New Apostolic Church doctrine.

The newly sealed souls were invited for fellowship and an interview organized by the youths of Munali congregation was also interpreted into sign language.
