Youth Weekend in Western Province
|
26 and 27 September, 2009 were joyous days for the youths in Western Province when the District Apostle Charles Ndandula travelled to Mongu to be with them in fellowship. On Saturday 26 September, 2009 over 5,000 youths from Kalabo, Kaoma, Lukulu, Mongu and Senanga gathered and participated in the various activities in Mongu Stadium. They assembled in the town centre and marched to the stadium where the District Apostle and Apostles Michael Milupi of Lusaka, Willie Sweta of Kitwe, Aggrey Singanda of Kaoma, Ignatius Luneta of Senanga, Ingombe Ananyatele of Limulunga and the host, Moses Mulopo waited for the youths to march past them. The youths were led by the Brass Band from St. Johns Secondary School of Mongu. The games and other activities were preceded with a prayer and the football matches were kicked off by the District Apostle. Apart from the games such as football and netball, the youths presented sketches and traditional dances. At the end of the day, the District Apostle presented the prizes to the winners. The following day, the climax of the activities was the Youth service which the District Apostle conducted in Kapona Congregation. A text word was taken from Romans 4 : 20 21: He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God. And being fully convinced that what He had promised, He was also able to perform. 3 District Elders, 5 District Evangelists and 1 Shepherd were ordained during the service that was attended by 6,000 youths.
