The members of Livingstone, Mulobezi and Sesheke experienced blessed moments with District Apostle Charles Ndandula during his eight day programme to Southern Province. He travelled to Livingstone on 16 December, 2010 in transit to Mulobezi the following day. He was accompanied by six (6) apostles namely Aaron Katungu of Ndola, Moses Mulopo of Mongu, Donald Kalyangu of Lusaka West, Baker Chakwana of Choma, Remmy Muyenga of Livingstone and Godwin Nyuwa of Sesheke. He held the first divine Service in Mulobezi which is 239 kilometers from Livingstone town on Saturday, 18 December, 2010. After fellowship with members in Mulobezi among them Chief Moomba of Mulobezi, the District Apostle and his entourage travelled to Sesheke where members were happy to receive him as he last visited the area in 2006. The divine service was held in Sesheke Main Church on Sunday, 19 December 2010. He read a text word from Roman 15:13: “Now may the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit”. During the service District Elder Lizazi Njongolo and Shepherd Tobias Muyunda were placed into retirement. Ordained into the District Elder ministry was hitherto District Evangelist Katanti Sichula. Also ordained were District Evangelist Shadreck Mwendabai and Shepherd Phebiano Munene. After the service sisters clad in Lozi traditional attire performed some traditional songs and acts and children sung Christmas carols and later presented the District Apostle with a Christmas present. The next day Monday, 20 December 2010, the District Apostle and his entourage travelled back to Livingstone and dated the ministers and their spouses when he held a meeting with them. For the meeting which was attended by 537 brethren, he read a text word from Jeremiah 24:6: “For I will set my eyes on them for good and will bring them back to this land; I will build them and not pull them down, and I will plant them and not pluck them up”. He concluded his programme with a service held in Maramba congregation and the text word was taken from Luke 13:12-13: “But when Jesus saw her, he called her to Him and said to her, ‘Woman, you are loosed from your infirmity.’ And He laid His hands on her and immediately, she was made straight, and glorified God”. The District Apostle travelled back to Lusaka on Thursday, 23 December 2010 two days before the festive Christmas service which he held in Lusaka’s Kaunda Square Congregation. |
