Two Churches Dedicated in Northern Province

In a remote area called Chiundaponde in Mpika in the northern part of the country, District Apostle Charles Ndandula travelled there to dedicate a Church on Saturday, 3 December 2011.

On Friday, 2 December 2011 District Apostle Charles Ndandula embarked on a journey to Northern part of Zambia about 1,394 kilometers north of the capital city, Lusaka where he dedicated two churches in Chiundaponde and Isoka.

The members in Chiundaponde have been preparing for this special day to have the church building dedicated by the District Apostle as it is the first permanent church building in the area.

The New Apostolic Church was the first church to be established in Chiundaponde in 1945 and the services were conducted in the house of Sister Belita Tisa. By 1957 the membership grew through testifying.

The first sealing service was conducted in 1962 by Apostle Henwood Mkandawire and 62 members were sealed.

The members in Chiundaponde secured the plot in 1998 and they embarked on constructing a 320 seating capacity building. It was a joy for the members to realize their dream when the District Apostle visited them and dedicated Chiundaponde church on Saturday 3 December 2011. They were last visited by a District Apostle in 1997.

The dedication service was attended by 1,758 brethren who included some of the local community, some of whom walked long distances of over 10 kilometres.

Accompanying the District Apostle were Apostles Ing’ombe Ananyatele of Mongu, Aggrey Singanda of Kaoma and Godwin Nyuwa of Sesheke as well as area Apostle Aubrey Mwanza and Bishop George Fwalo both of Kasama.

He used the word from Luke 2: 37:

“… And this woman was a widow of about eighty four years, who did not depart from the temple, but served God with fasting and prayers night and day.”

On Sunday 4 December 2011 he conducted a divine service at Tazara Central Church in Mpika, and bestowed silver anniversary blessings to Evangelist Stephen Kunda and his wife, Josephine and golden anniversary blessings to retired District Evangelist Timothy Kapeso Pampa and his wife, Susan, before proceeding to Isoka, about 250 Kilometers north of Mpika for the dedication of other church on Monday 5 December 2011.

The construction of Isoka church began in 1995 after the Government allocated the Church the piece of land on 10 January 1994.
