The members of Nampamba congregation of Mpongwe anxiously waited for the arrival of the District Apostle Charles Ndandula on Saturday 12 February 2011 as this was his first visit to Mpongwe as District Apostle. He last visited the area in the year 2000 as District Apostle Helper.

Mpongwe, located in Ndola rural on the Copperbelt, is well known for its large scale wheat and maize farming.

1,156 members of Nampamba Congregation attended the divine service on Sunday, 13 February 2011 conducted by the District Apostle in a community hall.

The text word was taken from Mathew 5:10:

“Blessed are those persecuted for righteousness’ sake.”

He was accompanied by Apostles Moses Chileshe of Mansa, David Seulu of Chingola, Aaron Katungu of Ndola and the host Apostle Willie Sweta as well as Bishops Steven Lindunda of Kitwe and Shadreck Mumba of Chingola.

After the service, the District Apostle had fellowship with the brethren at a home of one of the members before departure for Ndola. He travelled back to Lusaka the following day.
