 Land donated for Makeni East Church Building

Makeni East church

Members of Makeni East congregation were visited by District Apostle Charles Ndandula on Saturday, January 15, 2011. This congregation is located on one of the farms in Makeni area in Lusaka where a piece of land was donated to the church by a member, Sister Norah Nkwabilo, after she had realized that some members had difficulties attending services due to long distances.

After the demarcation of her land she donated it to the church, and the construction of the building begun on self help building project by the members. Roofing sheets were donated by one of the members who is a resident in Makeni area, Sister Nellie Mutti. Sister Mutti congregates at Lusaka Central Congregation. Apostle Stanley Munsaka and area Apostle Donald Kalyangu accompanied the District Apostle on this visit.

For the  service ,District Apostle read a text word from James 2:17:
“Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works is dead.”

893 members attended the service. In his sermon the District Apostle talked about the works of faith that should be followed and practiced by Christians. He raised six points which were Prayer, following, fellowship, testifying, sacrifice, and love.

And on the same day the District Apostle travelled to Liteta, 68 kilometers from Lusaka along the great North road, in the working area of Apostle Ranford Simumbwe. He conducted another divine service  on Sunday, January 16, 2011.

The District Apostle Helper Robert Nsamba was present in the divine service.

 He read a text word from John 14:1:
“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me.”

954 members attended the service, after which the District Apostle had fellowship with the members, where the youth and senior sisters’ choir rendered some songs before departure for Lusaka.
