Bishop Mukumbuta retires

Bishop Aggrey Mukumbuta of Limulunga –Katongo apostle area in Mongu, Western Province was retired by District Apostle Charles Ndandula after serving as a minister for 43 years.


The District Apostle, who was commissioned by the Chief Apostle to retire the bishop, said he was putting the bishop into well deserved retirement with joy because the bishop served as a minister faithfully up to the time of his retirement.


On 27 June, 2010 in a divine service in Kaoma town Congregation, the District Apostle retired Bishop Mukumbuta with five (5) district leaders. He also ordained 14 district elders, 19 district evangelists and one Shepherd for the four apostle areas of Western Province.


During the same divine service, the District Apostle  also read a circular  from the Chief Apostle informing the members on the extended liturgy which is to take place on the first Sunday of Advent on 28 November, 2010.


Aggrey Mukumbuta was born on 20 May, 1944 in Mongu. He was sealed in 1964 by then Apostle Andrew Fernandes.

 

He subsequently received the following ministries:

  • Deacon                              1967

  • Priest                                  1969

  • Community Evangelist      1978

  • Shepherd                           1980

  • District Evangelist             1985

  • District Elder                      18 January  1987

He was ordained Bishop on 28 June, 1987 by Chief Apostle Hans Urwyler in Lusaka’s Central Church.

   
He was assisting Apostle Ingombe Ananyatele in the Katongo Limulunga area of Western Province.


He married Sister Glenda Namonda Nyumbu on
29 October, 1966 and they are blessed with 11 children.
