District Apostle visits Soweto


Over 2000 members and 21 visitors gathered at Soweto Congregation, West of Lusaka to attend the divine service conducted by District Apostle Charles Ndandula on May 5, 2010. 

The members of Soweto congregation were glad to receive the District Apostle in their area. He was accompanied by Apostles Akombaetwa Samalama who is the area apostle, Kububa Soko of Chipata, Rainford Simumbwe of Kabwe-Serenje area, and David Seulu of Chingola. 

The District Apostle read a text word from the Book of Matthew 5:3-4:
 

“Blessed are the poor in spirit for theirs is the kingdom of heaven; blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”

During the sermon, the District Apostle explained to the congregation that poor in spirit, and have the desire to do the work of God and long for spiritual enrichment will inherit the kingdom of God.

The District Apostle also reinstated Moses Phiri as District Evangelist and ordained two Shepherds Simeon Hamusonde and Kelvin Mulako Mukwamataba into the District Evangelist Ministry.

After the Service the District Apostle and his entourage spent time to fellowship with the members and listen to some poems and songs performed by the choir (senior and youth) and Sunday school children.
