On Saturday afternoon of 11 June 2011, about 80 inmates of Mukobeko Maximum Prison in Kabwe gathered in the prison chapel and waited anxiously for the arrival of the District Apostle Charles Ndandula.

The inmates, among them members of the church, sang hymns and the moment they were informed of the arrival of the District Apostle and his entourage, a few inmates went outside to welcome him.

The District Apostle, accompanied by District Apostle Helper, Robert Nsamba, Apostle Ingombe Ananyatele of Mongu, Area apostle Ranford Simumbwe, Bishop Fred Mwila of Kabwe and several district ministers encouraged   the inmates with words from John 4:10 and Jeremiah 31:3 and told them that despite what they were going through in prison, God loves them all and that He is a forgiving God.

It was touching when the inmates sang a number of hymns and a representative of the inmates gave a vote of thanks. He informed the District Apostle that some of the challenges they were facing were that some inmates who have appealed   their cases have stayed in prison for more than ten (10) years without the appeal hearing. He also said some inmates are lacking the basic essentials such as washing and bathing soap as they had never been visited by their relatives.

Later the District Apostle presented a donation of blankets, laundry soap, salt, sugar, Vaseline, plates, cups, bibles and other church literature to the prison.

Deputy Officer in charge, Superintendent Naelo Chisala who received the donation, said the donation was appreciated by inmates as it will go a long way to ease their lives in prison.

The following morning on Sunday, the District Apostle conducted the Pentecost service in Mukobeko Church. This was after the live transmission from Dresden in Germany of the service conducted by the Chief Apostle Leber failed to broadcast into English translation from the German language.

The text word was taken from 1 Corinthians 2:12.

“During the service, Shepherd Sylvester Mubiana was ordained into the ministry of District Elder.”
