The weekend of May 05, 2011 the District Apostle Charles Ndandula travelled to Itezhi – tezhi in the Western part of Zambia to conduct a divine service. The District Apostle was accompanied by Apostles Moses Chileshe of Mansa province, Donald Kalyangu of Lusaka West and the area Apostle, Kennedy Muchimba. Members rejoiced to see the District Apostle as he last visited Itezhi-Tezhi in 2006. He used a text word from the book of Haggai 2:9: ‘“The glory of the latter temple shall be greater than the former”, says the Lord of hosts. “And in this place I will give peace,” says the Lord of hosts.’ The District Apostle encouraged the members to be strong in faith and strive to enrich their faith. During the service he retired Shepherd George Kaingu. The service was conducted outside at the site where the construction of a new church building will be built as the membership has grown. 2,800 members attended the service. After the service, the District Apostle and entourage travelled back to Lusaka. Itezhi – tezhi is a small and quiet town in the Kasankwa hills overlooking Itezhi –Itezhi Lake and the Kafue National Park. The purpose of the lake was to store water for the Hydroelectric Power Station of the Kafue Gorge Dam. |
