CHILANGA CHURCH DEDICATED

The newly constructed Chilanga church building

After many years of anxiety and hard work, Chilanga church building has now been completed. Chilanga Main Church is situated about 17 kilometres south of Lusaka.

The construction of this church began in 1995 after the building plan was approved. Through various fundraising ventures by the members of Chilanga, funds were secured and the building was finally completed in March, 2010.

The doctrine of the New Apostolic church was testified in 1954 when Priest Paison Mutabiko working for the department of Game, fisheries and tsetse control was transferred from Livingstone to Chilanga.

The first service was attended by 6 members and by 1958 the membership had grown to 27. At present, the membership has increased to 594.

Sunday 11 April, 2010 was a joyful day for the Chilanga church members as the District Apostle Charles Ndandula travelled there to dedicate the newly constructed church building.

Accompanied by Apostles Stanley Munsaka of Lusaka, Richard Kasoma of Zambezi, the hosting apostle Micheal Milupi was at hand to welcome them.

The text word was taken from Psalms 76:4:

“You are more glorious and excellent.”

1,084 members attended the service. After the service the District Apostle and the Apostles planted trees within the church premises.
