Youth weekend in Livingstone

On Friday 2 September 2011, District Apostle Charles Ndandula travelled from Harare in Zimbabwe to Livingstone in Southern Province, Zambia to spend the weekend with the youths.

Youths from Sesheke, Mwandi, Mulobezi, Kazungula and areas on the outskirts of Livingstone also travelled and camped at Dambwa Basic School on Friday night.

The Youth activities began on Saturday morning with a march past from Mukuni Park in town Centre to Dambwa School where the activities of the day were taking place.

After the march past, youths gathered into several small groups for doctrinal knowledge discussions and topics such as the Introduction of the New Apostolic Church Catechism, Service for the departed and Thanksgiving and Offering were discussed.

Saturday activities ended with a choral concert in the evening at Musi-O-Tunya Church.

The climax of the activities was the youth service, which over 3,300 youths attended, conducted by the District Apostle in the same church.

For this service, the District Apostle read a text word from 2 Timothy 3:14:

“But you must continue in the things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you have learned them.”

In this service, the District Apostle also bestowed engagement blessings on two young couples.

The fully packed weekend ended with a Bible Quiz and poem performances by the youths in the afternoon of Sunday.

On this programme, the District Apostle was accompanied by Apostles Ingombe Ananyatele of Mongu, Godwin Nyuwa of Sesheke, Remmie Muyenga of Livingstone as well as Bishop Eustace Situmbeko.
