My dear Brothers and
Sisters,
The
Festive Pentecost is drawing closer when all the worldwide active apostles will
meet in Cape Town, South Africa and unite with our dear Chief Apostle. Another
chapter of the Acts of the Apostles will be written in Cape Town in South
Africa.
As we
get closer to this festive period of Pentecost, I would like to share with you a
word from the book of James chapter 4 part of verse 8:
“Draw near to God and He will draw near to you, cleanse your hands and purify
your hearts...”
Beloved,
let us get closer to God so that we can follow his guidelines. We will easily
know when the Lord speaks to us when we draw close to Him.
Our
first step of drawing closer to God is through prayer. Let us take everything we
do to the Lord in prayer.
Beloved,
it is possible to pray when we are joyful, not only when we are in difficulties.
I urge you to draw nearer to God to the extent that missing Divine Services will
create a vacuum in our lives. Sometimes we run away from God because we believe
we are sinners. Beloved, who is not a sinner? We have all sinned and that is why
Jesus said He had come for sinners so that they can turn away from their sins.
Let us
cleanse our hands by not striving too much for earthly things; we should leave
certain bad habits. One must be mindful not to desire for earthly things and
habits because they can easily become our idols today.
It is
important that when we are praying to God, we close ourselves from the earthly
and outside activities and focus upon the Lord. Let us make God our priority in
our lives and God will bless us.
Lastly,
my humble appeal is let us draw close to God and he shall be our security; he
will lead and guide us. Let us purify our hearts and our way to salvation will
be clear and straightforward.
May we
focus on the Lord, as we celebrate this festive period of Pentecost. On that
day, all the apostles of the world and I will surround our dear Chief Apostle in
South Africa. We should be in accord and pray together for you and for the
completion of the work of God.
May God
bless you and keep you.
Hearty
greetings
Charles
S Ndandula
District Apostle
