My dear brothers and sisters,

I greet you with a text word from Luke 6: part of verse 38

“Give and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over will be put into your bosom” (these words were spoken by Jesus Christ, himself)

I have just returned from Zimbabwe. This was my second visit since the handover of Zimbabwe to be part of our District Zambia. I want to share with you this word with our brothers and sisters of Zimbabwe in mind.

We all have much to give and no one can say that he has not received grace that is why we say “I am what I am by the Grace of God”. So, out of this, let us be gracious to each other.

What else have we received as God’s Children apart from Grace? Many things but I will mention but a few.

Strength is also one thing that we receive and so we should share this strength in the same way we have received from above. We should not be there to weaken others. As we receive strength all the time we should learn to share what we have to ensure that others are also strong in faith. Whatever we have achieved, let us ensure that others also achieve. When others fail – in some way, we have also failed.

Peace and Joy - We also have received Peace and Joy through the Holy Spirit that we carry. Let us also share this peace with others. Then we shall receive good measures and blessings running over our cups. This means that God will give and bless you even more. Let us share our joy in the Lord.

Peace and Joy, God has promised us that it will flow as long as we have the right attitude towards Him and others, and also the desire to give and share.

We can share by our compassion and by faith through Christ.

Giving is not only to us. So let us also give to those whom we have fellowship with and those that are weak. Give and it will be given to you with shaken and good measure and your cup will be running over.

In fact, everything in the life of a child of God, that he/she receives, we believe that the source is God. And we do not want to be shaken by anything. It is through our striving, that our faith gets increased. It might be difficult to help others sometimes but we must remember that we are not only there for ourselves, but even for others. We should be seen to live our faith and let us strive to please God so that he will be able to give us much more and ultimately receive life eternal.

So let us always be conscious of what we have received and conscious of sharing it with those whom the Lord will bring in our lives, some of whom we already know and others we do not know, but God has brought them to us.

The spiritual and natural gifts can all be shared.
