9 April 2008
My dear brothers and sisters,
Firstly, I would like to thank you all for the support and prayers for the
successful programme of the recent visit of our Chief Apostle Wilhelm Leber in
Lilongwe – Malawi from February 28 to March 4, 2008.
The visit has left us with pleasant and magnificent joy, abundant blessings and
indelible memories.
In my address, I thought I should share with you the word which was given to us
by the Chief Apostle in Chilinde Church during his recent visit to Lilongwe,
which is found in the book of John 15:16:
"You did not choose me, but I chose you, and
appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should
remain."
My dear brothers and sisters, with this text
word, the Chief Apostle began the service for Ministers and their spouses with a
message of encouragement "Never give up!" There might be
situations in our lives which we don’t understand. We may not understand why
things are not moving in the "right" direction, why we may face many sorrows and
difficult situations, however, despite all the problems, we should NEVER GIVE
UP.
We should never give up because God is always with us and in the end everything
will work to our benefit.
The Chief Apostle gave the Lord Jesus as a wonderful example of one who never
gave up and remained faithful to the end.
Peter, once asked the Lord Jesus, "Lord, we have given up so many things in our
natural life, we have left our homes and have followed you, what will you give
us in return?" The Lord gave them a wonderful answer. He told them that every
one who has left something for the sake of his name will get it a hundred fold
and he will get eternal life. That is also our message today.
The Chief Apostle also gave us his answer when he said "My dear brothers and
sisters, I also answer you, "everyone who has given up something for the Lord, brings offerings and remains faithful to the end, will get what they
have given up a hundred fold – this means abundant blessings."
On the message of never give up, the Chief Apostle ended by saying that God
gives more than we can imagine to those who will never give up, and who invest
in the work of God. He said whatever we do in the work of God is not in vain and
we will get it back hundredfold, therefore we should keep our faith alive and we
should never give up.
With this wonderful message from our Chief Apostle, I trust you have received it
wholeheartedly and I ask you to keep it. It is my desire and prayer that God
will give the strength and the spirit to all of us so that no one GIVES UP. As
we look forward to another divine occasion of Pentecost, let us keep our faith
and love for God alive.
Heartily greetings of Love
Charles S Ndandula
