My dear brothers and sisters,

In the first half of this year 2008, a number of churches have been dedicated. Just in the month of June alone, I dedicated three (3) church buildings to the honour and glory of the Lord. Railways church in Choma, and in Lusaka, Mass Media and N’gombe congregations were dedicated in June. This is a positive development in the work of God which should inspire us all to do more for the Lord and continue to glorify his Name.

I  would like  to share a word with you from 1 Timothy 6:13-14 which I read to the N’gombe congregants on the day I dedicated the church:

"I urge you in the sight of God, who gives life to all things, and before Christ Jesus, who witnessed the good confessions before Pontius Pilate, that you keep this commandment without spot, blameless until our Lord, Jesus Christ’s appearing."

The second part of the text word urges  us to keep the commandments, and what are the  prime commandments that we must keep until the Lord comes back?

Let me dwell on three important commandments. Firstly, we must keep the fear of the Lord. It is  easy to say bitter words sometimes, even against God, when one is in bitter circumstances such as sorrow or great need. We all pass through such circumstances sometimes. As children of God,  let us not allow these bitter and difficult circumstances to make us fail to keep this commandment – FEAR OF GOD. One good example we can learn from is JOB, who, despite losing everything did not get bitter with God. So let us also maintain our fear of God. We fear God out of love and by directing our thoughts, words and actions at pleasing Him, thereby keeping his commandments.

Secondly, our Love for God and His work. Let us keep this commandment, that we love God with all our heart and also love our neighbour. This commandment we must keep until the Lord returns. When this love is genuine we won’t segregate against anybody either in our thoughts, deeds, words and works.

With genuine love, we will be able to see the Lord in the ministers as well as in our fellow brothers and sisters.

Lastly, is the Hope for the return of the Lord. We should never lose hope in the return of the Lord.

If we keep these three commandments, we will be able to keep our relationship with God through prayers.

With this message, I trust and pray that we keep all the commandments until the Lord returns. He will come with a reward to give to everyone according to their works. The reward to those who keep the commandments is eternal life, eternal fellowship with God, eternal joy and a great re-union with our loved ones who have preceded us into the beyond.

Hearty greetings of Love,
