Dear Brothers and Sisters,

As we enter the year 2013, I wish you all a blessed and Peaceful year.

In this New Year, We have reason to praise the Lord for all the things he has done for us in the year 2012 and, therefore, let us place God as the first priority in our lives.  God never leaves us alone and does not change, so we should go into the New Year with this understanding.

I would like to share with you in the new year the word from Ephesians 6 :14:

“Stand, therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breast plate of righteousness”.

We learn from this text word that God had loved and protected us in the year that has just gone and He is still with us.

Apostle Paul is urging us to stand against the devil and that when the devil attacks, we should put on the armor of God so as to protect ourselves against the devil.

We should stand firm in the gospel of Christ with the knowledge that the Lord is coming.

We want to remain firm in the gospel of the Apostles and through Apostles we feel we are closer to the Lord.

Let us hold fast in our hope, in our love and faith that no one or nothing can separate us from God and from one another.

In hope and oneness, the Lord will guide us in our works and our waiting.

My urge for you all in the year 2013 is that whenever you wish to say anything to someone, say the words that will not injure, but words that will uplift and bring joy to the other person.

Do not curse but bless others so that you may also be a blessing to others. Be a peacemaker and hold hands together, build your families, communities and your country. Let us resolve to add value to our faith, our congregation and our community.

Remember, the lord is not delaying in coming; He is just giving us time to change and become worthy.

When we have an encounter with the Lord, let us accept the plan of salvation, praise and glorify God. These encounters are during divine services and whenever we meet in His name.

May our Heavenly Father bless you richly in 2013 and always.
